Composite doors are becoming increasingly popular. With a wood-grain effect, our products are suitable for both period and modern properties. A composite door is made from several different materials to make a more durable, longer-lasting door.

Most common materials include uPVC, foam, wood and GRP (glass reinforced plastic). The internal frame is made from uPVC with steel reinforced rods for extra strength. Externally, the skin is the GRP. It is extremely tough, weatherproof and perfectly replicates a wood grain. The door is injected with warm thermal polyurethane foam, which provides A-rated insulation.

Another major advantage to composite is that it meets British Security Standards. This is due to being made from fibreglass and reinforced with steel. Furthermore, our products feature laminated glass which is extremely difficult to break.

Composite doors are also very hard-wearing. They are highly resistant to denting and kicking, so the skin always looks fresh and brand new. Unlike timber material, composite won’t crack or peel. It also won’t warp and fade.

To keep your door looking its best, give it a quick wipe with a clean cloth and warm, soapy water. Additionally, they last around 30 years.
